One-and-Done in the Blogosphere

Posted by: Chris Lesinski | June 2, 2009 at 3:08PM

If you think Facebook is a self-indulgent abyss then you haven't spent much time in the blogosphere.

Luckily, it only takes one post for people to realize how meaningless they are — and that's why there's 1post1der.blogspot.com — tracking the millions of one-and-done blogs. Each post is a brilliant glance into a stranger's angsty first and last post to their blog.

Let's start with the first and only voyage of SSblog.blogspot.com:

WELL, THIS IS WLIIE MASON AND I WOULD LIKE TO SAY I TYPED THE FIRST TIME AND DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO, SO I PUSHED THE WRONG BUTTON AND IT ERASED MY WHOLE *&^%$# TYPING SO I HAVE TO DO IT AGAIN. HOPE YOUR HAPPY!!!!!!

"Wliie's" post is kind of like a combination between a Kanye West rant and a person writing their first email ever. More, after the jump…

This one comes from "Koffy" at bummerdude.blogspot.com:

Can someone tell me why it is that people don't seem to have any respect for decency in the world today. Specifically I am talking about the corrosion of standards in verbal communication?.

Thanks for clarifying, Koffy. When you said "respect for decency in the world today," I wasn't quite sure if you meant specifically, "corrosion of standards in verbal communication." (Notice how Koffy missed the question mark at the end of his first sentence — I guess I'm more of a stickler for "written" communication.)

This quip from carriebradshaw.blogspot.com was the inspiration for Twitter:

Spent the day watching an Anna Nicole Smith documentary and complaining about my cold…a fascinating start to my online masterpiece…

Indeed, I keep carriebradshaw.blogspot.com in my bookmarks, hopeful that one day she'll continue this masterpiece.
