Respectful Commenter of the Week: Downwiththerepubs
This week we turn to Downwiththerepubs on the Politico.com forums reacting to "Obama seeks Islam 'common ground'."
SPEAK FOR YOURSELF. WE ARE NOT A CHRISTIAN NATION. PERIOD. THATS WERE YOU NUT BAGS MISS THE BOAT.

Strong opening move with the ALL CAPS. He definitely grabs my attention.
Unfortunately, he loses me when he drops the N.B.-bomb. That's the kind of ad hominem attack that can seriously weaken an argument.
I also question his choice of the word "WERE" where "WHERE" would seem more appropriate. I understand how the play-on-words causes the reader to have to question the validity of an active foreign policy as opposed to isolationism — a bold commentary on the changing global political climate. Still, for some, it may just read like a thoughtless typo.
But in a desperate and unnecessary logical jump, he ends with a flurry of random letters and characters. Even a dumb nut bag couldn't figure out what he's trying to say.
