Bing and Google Agree on Best Search Engine: Dogpile
Bing is Microsoft's new search engine, but they've been on a campaign to label it a "decision engine," including the commercial above. Google responded by elaborating on how they're a "decision engine," too.
But what about those of us who just like searching? I decided to ask both parties what the "best search engine" is and the "decision" was surprisingly unanimous. Not HotBot. Not AltaVista.* But another 90's favorite: Dogpile.
The Dogpile search algorithm is simple enough to explain to your parents: It's just six search engines rolled in to one!
*Astonishingly, not Mahalo or Topsy either.
