If you haven't seen Scarlet take a tumble, you probably haven't spent much time on the Internet. Her videoed song and dance routine fell a bit short of perfection (lame pun totally intended!) But as always, Tosh.0 believes in redemption for all those who have faced disgrace on the Internet, so this week Scarlet got her opportunity to stand tall once again …on a coffee table.
Today, Farrah Fawcett died of cancer. Like a responsible news organization, The Onion quickly micro-blogged the news:
It set off a chain-reaction of “too soon” @replies from many of The Onion’s 1 million followers. Bornfamous said, “Is that supposed to be funny? Because it's not.” Lkdellatorre said, “Unfollowing @TheOnion for their deplorable jab at Farrah. Dudes, the day of her death? Seriously? I'm speechless, and that's saying a lot.” And bradcarlson said “Big fan of The Onion, but they just crossed the line.”
Seriously, guys. At least include the cause of death.
The trailer for the upcoming film "Cat Ladies" is out on the web, and I can barely wait for it to be released in theaters to see it.
I think it's a mix of fascination and fear that if I'm ever single long enough, I'll start collecting cats in some urine-scented, hairball-covered act of crazy lady desperation.
But I know I'm fine, because I HATE cats.
After one of the cat ladies asks her cat if it slept well, they cut to an interview with her where she says, "I think that a lot of people don't know that I am as lonely as I am."
Umm, yeah we do lady. Yeah we do.

Here's my question: I found this out via Reddit. Does it really take a group of people on the Internet to realize this is funny? Seriously? They didn't take this into consideration at all when they made that $2.5 BILLION dollar deal? I realize English is only a very common language, but… come on.
Yesterday, Shaquille O'Neal was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
If that's news to you, don't worry. It was bigger news to Shaq when one of his followers alerted him of what was going on via Twitter! (Here's Shaq's page.)
A couple of NBA stories have been broken recently on Twitter. Basically, here's the deal… A little advice for all basketball players (because I am the expert on being a professional athlete): If your agent isn't on Twitter, fire him. Now. You want to be in the loop and you don't have time to wait for phone calls.
… Hold on … I'm getting a tweet …
Okay, turns out this post isn't funny enough. I've been traded to the Jimmy Kimmel Live blog. Time to go clear out my locker.
You know what might make a Kenny Chesney song even better? If it were arranged for a 100-piece orchestra. And that's excatly what one YouTube-er is doing at ForOrchestra.com. From the site:
Lady Gaga’s music has all the elements of a perfect Orchestral arrangement. The strong dance ‘four on the floor’ beat, memorable melody, synth lines, and more made it a successful arrangement.
It's good, but the brass fanfare interlude didn't sit well with me, though it's very Beethovenian. And I don't think the "ma ma ma ma's" have as much tremolo as they did when they were auto-tuned.
A woman in Bismark, North Dakota wired $850 to a man to get two Yorkshire terrier puppies from a missionary named “Jack Frazier Sneed” in Nigeria. Ironically, she initially found the classified ad in the same newspaper that wrote the article about the dilemma (they made it very clear how email-oriented the scam was).
"I didn't think they'd use puppies," she said.
Speaking of Nigerians, I just got this email from one and this might be my last blog post since it turns out that I’ve inherited a sum of US $ 95 million from a prince in Angola. So, things are going pretty well for me.

This ain't no science blog. People who repost images of Katy Perry with snarky commentary usually aren't regarded as "learned."
However, this new optical illusion that has been making the rounds after going live on a Discover Magazine blog yesterday definitely falls into the "ways-science-kicks-ass" department.
How many colors do you see? It appears that between the pink spiral there are alternating colored spirals of green and blue. But these two colors are actually the same color!
