Philadelphia Police Warn Craigslist Users After Recent Robberies
Philadelphia's CBS3 reported today that "Craigslist Robberies [are] On The Rise In Philly" after three victims recently reported the crimes.
The police advise that buyers use caution, especially when choosing where to finalize transactions. Beware of sellers looking to meet at any of these locations:
- The seller's own home or car (Always choose a neutral location in a public place)
- Any neighborhood you are unfamiliar with
- The alley behind the CVS on N. Broad Street, aka "Rape Alley"
- The old abandoned Bradlees department store
- Camden, New Jersey
- Anywhere within a few feet of a gun store
- Old Man Withers' haunted amusement park
- Drexel University
- Anywhere in Manayunk (It's not unsafe, you just don't want to go there — trust me)
