Healthcare Debate Gets Vicious on Facebook

The prospect of a public option in America's healthcare system has the whole internet abuzz. It's been reduced to death-threats between friends on Facebook. Admittedly, I have used the same line of thinking to argue against other political movements, and I feel that it is satisfactory:
- Just because Saddam Hussein runs your country, does not mean you deserve to have Saddam Hussein run your country.
- Just because you can get a low-emissions vehicle does not mean you deserve to get a low-emissions vehicle.
- Just because you haven't been waterboarded, doesn't mean you deserve to not be waterboarded.
