A Day Without Cats on the Internet
Our friends over at Urlesque have declared 9.9.09 to be A Day Without Cats on the Internet.
Over 40 sites have agreed to participate in the event — including us here at the Tosh.0 Blog and our intellectual counterparts over at National Public Radio. (They don't want cats like we don't want the cats neither!)
They're also pushing people to use a #NoCats hashtag on Twitter …because that's been known to accomplish so much in the past.
Why a day without cats? Because cats are sucking the life-blood out of all of us Internet types!
Why 9.9.09? Because 9.11 was already taken.
Why'd we agree to do it? We don't have new episodes until October 8th. What the hell else are we supposed to talk about?
So don't expect to see any cat stuff around here today. I'll be at the bar. (That's nothing special to 9.9.09. That's just where I always am.)
