Stop Warning People Not To Print Emails!
The occurrence seen above has never happened to me, but it certainly hit enough of a nerve with Reddit users to make me believe it's not uncommon…
We've all probably noticed people who add a warning to the bottom of their emails that you should, as the one above states, "Please consider the environment before printing this email." (Or something similar.)
But what I never recognized is the irony that, by adding those lines of text to the bottom of your emails, you're actually making your emails longer, thus creating the possibility of adding more pages to the email if someone does decide to print it out.
Like in the email above: Page 3 of 3 is nothing but an environmental warning.
Next time this happens to you, just take the runover page and fax it back to the person who sent you the email with this message scrawled in black ink: "YOU KILLED ONE OF MY SHEETS NOW I'M TAKING ONE OF YOURS!"
Revenge is sweet.
