Viral Vote: Medical Marijuana
Despite recent criticisms that his administration has had trouble getting things done, President Obama dropped the hammer in one area where his guidelines can become effective immediately: Easing the prosecution of state-sanctioned medical marijuana user and sellers.
The move certainly didn't come out of nowhere. As can be seen in the official video above, Obama has spoken of his support for medical marijuana in the past.
The topic immediately garnered a lot of attention online. Some sites, like The Christian Science Monitor, came out against the move questioning if this was "A federal misstep with medical marijuana?" Not surprisingly, High Times took a slightly different angle — though it is surprising that they were able to write and post their reaction in such a timely fashion.
