Facebook is 25% of the Internet

According to an analysis examined by the Silicon Alley Insider, Facebook accounts for 1 in 4 pageviews on the whole internet in the United States. That won't come as a surprise to people who are on their 3rd stalk-lap around someone's 2,000 pictures.
I'm not surprised either. Facebook is built around the idea of having you view a ton of pages. It’s literally a face book. It’s a book of faces. If you had a giant tome of infinite faces in your lap, I don’t think you’d flip through it slowly.
25% of pageviews is a big hunk of the internet. We always assumed the internet was a 100% waste of time. Now, thanks to Facebook, we know it’s at least a 25% waste of time. (Come waste that 25% at the Tosh.0 Facebook page.)
After comparing the Facebook stats with some for Google, here's how the article ends:
Do you think Google is a bit concerned? I would imagine so.
Did we forget that these are actually companies? The internet is not a giant pageview race. Until earlier this year, Facebook had never turned a profit. But, yes, I imagine once Google digs their way out of a giant pile of money we'll see the “concern” written all over their billionaire faces.
