Never Email About Your Drug Use

The blogosphere has been aflutter over news that comedian David Cross did a bump of cocaine at the Washington Correspondents Dinner, supposedly within eye-shot of President Obama, all to fulfill some sort of devious long-term dare.

How do we know this?

Well, because Cross emailed friend/Vice magazine co-founder/infamous hipster Gavin McInnes about the incident and then McInnes eventually tossed the whole story up on his Street Carnage site.  (See the email above.)

But, duuude, drug usage rule numero uno: Never send emails admitting to your drug usage!

As Mr. Cross has found out the hard way, that sort of permanent "pen-to-paper" accountability can come back to haunt you.

Just look at Obama.  On the campaign trail he admitted to having done cocaine in his past and he ended up as the guest of honor at the White House Correspondents Dinner.  And now comedians follow Obama around, daring each other on who can do a line of cocaine closest to him.

David Cross doesn't need that kind of pressure… the pressure to become the next President of the United States!
