This article on "100+ Google Tricks That Will Save You Time in School" was great — not because I need help with my homework*, but because it's basically a lesson in how to make your Google searches much more thorough. Which in my case, just means doing a better job tracking down my ex-boyfriend from high school to see what he's up to now.

But is this what kids do now for assignments? Just hop online and Google things? I have a few ideas for what they should "Google:"

• How smart kids really learn things
• Why America's education system sucks
• Why people think Americans are lazy and stupid
• Why I'm terrified of the future

And all of those things will bring this page up on the results.

I'm not going to get all "I walked 3 miles to school everyday with no shoes" on you, but it's pretty amazing that we've gone through 250 years of school in America WITHOUT Google.

And don't get me wrong — I'm not mad, just completely jealous.

*FYI: I don't have homework outside of researching bizarre videos online. It's not so much "homework" as it is "torture."

CollegeHumor found this unibrow-guy on the National Institute on Drug Abuse's website — in the part of the site that's supposed to convince teens not to smoke pot.

Unlike most people, I'm against drug abuse, but this kid is not helping my case. Here's what he's telling us:

"I don't think it's cool at all and I don't see why they try to pressure it on other people."

Nice sound bite! His quote says “cool” in it so we know that NIDA is conscious of where authority lies in middle school –- cool kids. You can show a group of middle schoolers all sorts of science and quote famous people, but the first girl to wear designer jeans will still have more credibility.

So, unibrow kid, you’re not convincing anyone that pot is less cool. Call me in five years when you have an electric razor with one of those little flip out detailing things on the back of it.

Scratch that — the VHS-quality of the video this kid's pic was grabbed from was making it a little difficult to see, but that dirty upper lip might just redeem him. Those are in.

Mike Tyson's days in the public spotlight appear to have waned, assuming he doesn't agree to do some new reality TV show or end up in jail for eating someone's children.  However, that doesn't mean reading some classic Mike Tyson quotes isn't a great way to start your day!

Yesterday, website TwistedSifter mixed Tyson quotes and photos to create some nice motivational posters (like the one above) that are always good for a chuckle.

So pleased with these images they've created, the site even states: "Did I forget one of your favourite Mike Tyson quotes?  Leave a comment and I’ll make a poster for it!"

Guys!  How could you forget this one: "You think the speed of your fingers can match the strength of my fists?"  That one quote inspired me to waste three years of my life playing original NES.

Before the advent of the Internet, the general populous had no idea what passed for entertainment in the city of Bowling Green, Kentucky.  Once a year, the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers would win an automatic birth to the NCAA basketball tournament by capturing the title of the terrible Sun Belt conference, but, outside of that, nothing!

Now, thanks to the "world" wide web — and yes, despite protests from the European Union, Kentucky is still considered part of the "world" — we can learn all sorts of things!

First, with some extensive Wikipedia research, I've been informed that since 2006, Bowling Green has been home to a single A minor league baseball team affiliated with the Tampa Bay Rays, the Bowling Green Hot Rods.

Then, through the magic of YouTube, I was able to watch the above video showing some Kentuckians in action!

Yes, you're seeing it correctly: This video shows fans of the Hot Rods attempting to break the world record for "human mattress dominos."  The record seemed like a perfect fit since most of these people don't like to spend a lot of time out of bed, and these hefty humans on the outskirts of Appalachia certainly have gravity on their side.

Wow, I didn't know it was so easy and fun to avoid the H1N1 swine flu virus. Everybody sing along now, "When you wash body, wash your hands too!"

What's most fascinating is that multiple people agreed to make this. This video is not some simple straight to web upload — this had multiple stages of production where various people all continued to think it was a great idea. The choreography alone had to take hours of rehearsing!

But we're posting it on our site, so I guess their need for attention (and swine flu safety) has been met. Perhaps for a slightly different purpose than they originally intended, but you've got to wonder: what were they intending with a video like this to begin with, and when are they making another one?

I can't wait. Love me some internet randomness.

The pic was originally filed on Digg under "Odd Stuff."  Does this really seem odd to you? Because I guess it seemed odd to the 1400+ people who Dugg it.

Artists are weird. Salvador Dalí is a surrealist artist. Do you know what a surrealist artist is? It's an artist THAT'S EVEN WEIRDER THAN A NORMAL ARTIST. Did you think the guy who depicts melting clock hallucinations covered in swarming ants would be throwing a tennis ball with a chocolate lab?

I'm going to submit a picture of Georgia O'Keefe with the title: "OMG — believe it or not! — Georgia O'Keefe pictured holding a flower."

Greenpro Productions has attempted to find a niche for his YouTube channel by posting videos of optical illusions.  A couple of these vids have even reached near-viral status: His "Shady Optical Illusion" has gotten over 300,000 views since he put it online three weeks ago.

But after digging a little deeper into his collection of uploads, it quickly became apparent where he got his user name from: This dude must be a total professional at smoking greens to think some of these "illusions" are interesting.

Take the "Impossible Illusion!" from above, for example.  You know why it's impossible?  Because it's not an illusion!  It's — LAME SPOILER ALERT! — tied with a f*cking string!

A string!  That isn't an illusion!  That's a physical property!  If he wasn't shooting this with an old camera in crap light, it would be totally obvious this whole "illusion" was B.S. from the get-go.

So what do you think…

I guess there's no point in thanking a security camera if it doesn't get the license plate number, but at least millions of people get to laugh at it online.
