The Internet used to be about one thing: wasting time.
Back before online banking and eBay and instructional how-to videos and Segway repair forums, a website was just full of some dumb crap that made you giggle.

Had the Internet been in full swing back when Horatio Sanz and Jimmy Fallon originally performed their silly Christmas ditty "I Wish It Was Christmas Today" on Saturday Night Live (with prominent onlookers Chris Kattan and Tracy Morgan), the song would probably already be a holiday mainstay.
Fallon and Sanz got things started in its traditional arrangement before The Strokes' frontman Julian Casablancas launched into a full rock version backed by Fallon house band, The Roots.
Casablancas had the foresight to record a beefed up version of the song and release it as a single back in November. You can buy the song on iTunes or get the song as a bonus track for buying his solo debut album.
With all the press the performance has gotten, I think we can safely change Julian's last name to Cash-in-blancas.
And don't forget Fallon and Sanz who, as the song's writers, will be receiving royalties.
Looks like those three have given themselves a nice little Christmas present. And all they had to do was rehash a song they wrote a decade ago.
Marry Christmas! May the rich and famous get rich and famous-er!

The awesome guy over at The Oatmeal came up with this fun cautionary tale about helping your friends and family with computer related problems. Click HERE to see the whole thing.
This has definitely happened to me several times, but I always play dumb. I find that ignorance is always bliss in most cases, unless you're on Jeopardy. Then you're just going to lose.

Last week, McDonald's announced they would be offering free, unlimited Wi-Fi in the vast majority of their fast food restaurants beginning in early 2010.
This new strategy works exceptionally well with their overall goal of making Americans obese.
Eating high calorie, processed food is only one part of the vast tapestry that is becoming severely overweight. Eating in excess and remaining sedentary for long periods of time is also an important component.
By giving customers a reason not to move and keeping them in their restaurants where they may feel compelled to purchase more food will help McDonald's further these goals.
Sitting on your ass and fast food. It's a match made in heaven! I'm lovin' it!
What you're seeing above is a screengrab of the actual website for this web design company.
Little piece of advice: If you are trying to sell yourself as the best in 21st century web design, make sure your own site looks like it was made sometime after the mid-1900s.
They boast: "We install shopping carts, create product databases, and, most important, assure privacy with secure financial transactions for credit card processing."
How do we know this? Because all of those things are far less difficult to create than the "blue star moving GIF" they have shooting across the top of their page.
You want a kick-ass website? Here's a kick-ass website:
That's more than just web design… That's a mind-blowing, dynamic, multimedia presentation.
F' yeah, 21st Century Website Design. F' yeah!

If you are like most Americans, you are probably upset that your pornography is not organized by color.
The Rainbow of Porn solves this problem. Just go to their website where you will find the above image of a unicorn. Click on any color in the image to bring up a collection of porn videos in that color.
Thing is, it doesn't match skin color or anything like that. It literally matches the color of the video: things like the lighting and the background.
So if you get off to certain porn cinematography, this site is perfect for you.
Personally, I really get excited when the videographer uses a blue filter to enhance the melancholy mood of the pizza delivery man who just wants to bang.

For those of you who are disappointed there hasn't been enough vomiting on recent episodes of Tosh.0, here is my Christmas gift to you…
Eggnog Bong.
Yes, Eggnog Bong.
The cool thing about giving the gift of vomiting is that it's the gift that keeps on giving… being that watching someone vomit always makes you want to vomit.
