(I'm Kidding)
I HATE having to clarify that I’m just joking. It’s bad enough that I have to change my tone when speaking. But it’s even worse to have to clarify sarcasm when I’m typing:
“I can’t wait.” (Joking…)
“I’m so excited to be at work.” (Not!)
All of my emails require me to spell out tone so I can actually be understood. Which is why I am sooooo super excited about SarcMark. (That sentence? There's a hint of mockery in it.)
FINALLY! There is a symbol I can buy to replace all my LOLs and JKs and smiley faces that used to formerly announce my ironic tone. (Here is where I would have a winking emoticon or something. Because I'm not being serious.)
The SarcMark software will simplify everything. Once users pay $1.99 to download the symbol and then go through and explain it to each of their friends:
“Woohoo! Another Monday!” (That little swirly symbol? That's a SarcMark. It denotes sarcasm. I'm not really happy it's Monday.)
