F U, The Future: NY Times Reports Profit
In what is awesome news for people who hate America and/or prefer to live in the antiquated past, the New York Times reported a 1st quarter profit today, continuing a major turnaround for the company.
And to think, all they had to do was fire half their staff and jack up print subscription prices to unreasonably high levels.
But that's not all: One of their largest sources of growth was in "digital advertising revenues, which rose 18 percent."
For shame, New York Times! I could probably get a raise by selling my soul to the devil… All I'd have to do in return is spend the eternity of my afterlife with Satan.
We know deep down you hate the Internet and wish it would die. The guilt you must feel finally using it to your advantage. Every banner ad you sell must be like little daggers in your heart. Especially the banner ads for the new Disney movie "Little Daggers" — coming direct to Blu-Ray this summer!
