According to Stuff,
"The brooding hunk has revealed that after he shot to fame in police thriller L.A. Confidential, he gained a series of new celebrity friends. He became good pals with the late singing superstar and the pair shared a similar sense of humour so often played pranks on each other. Jackson would regularly phone Crowe and try to convince him he was in trouble, much to the actor's amusement.
"A gruff voice would say something was wrong, then this tiny little voice said, ‘Don't worry. This is Michael,'" Crowe told GQ magazine."
Wow. I love this news story. There are so many fun things about this news story. I can't decide which part is my favorite.
I really liked the description of Russell Crowe as a "brooding hunk". And I loved finding out that he and Michael Jackson shared a similar sense of humor. Celebrities! They're all friends!
But I think what I enjoyed most was the prank itself. In a gruff voice Michael would say something was wrong. And then in a tiny voice he would say, 'Don't worry. This is Michael.'
Shenanigans! King of Pop shenanigans!
