USA Today reports that a couple in England "were kicked out of their hotel after the hotel manager accused them of writing a negative review on TripAdvisor and called the police."
This is why sometimes you don't want to get the Internet involved. If you are going to bad mouth a hotel, bad mouth them to their face. That way, when the manager goes to kick you out, you'll be prepared for the altercation and can start throwing punches.
The best way to compliment a civil trial to try to get your money back from a hotel is with a criminal trial for assaulting a worker in the very same hotel. That's not part of the definition of irony, but it should be.
