The Sexiest Man Alive
Ryan Reynolds has been the talk of the Internet since being named People's Sexiest Man Alive for 2010. (An honor that apparently can be achieved by marrying Scarlett Johansson.)
The added exposure has caused his high school yearbook photo and quote to surface.
But here's the thing: Ryan Reynolds is 34 years old. So you can giggle at his portrait and mock his yearbook quote, but he is one of the last of a generation — a generation of people where goofy yearbook photos and childish quotes are what little we have to mock.
It make me look ahead. Look ahead and proclaim: Good luck, People's Sexiest Man Alive for 2030!
Rest assured that no matter how hard you work to get sexier over the the next 20 years, every detail of the most awkward moments of your teenage life has already been permanently archived on Facebook, YouTube, Flickr, Blogger and beyond.
No calling of high school classmates to take you down a peg. It's all waiting for us on Google.
Makes me look forward to continuing to not be the Sexiest Man Alive …which I can definitely continue to look forward to.
