Fan Favorites

This week, I'm back and Carly is on vacation.

It's not easy to do all 50 posts for the week by yourself.  Time becomes precious.

So when someone like Jason 'Elliot' Cavey goes through the trouble of providing you a link directly to his Fan Favorites video, that's the kind of time saver a guy can really use.

Chase suggested I get some payback this week… which seemed like a good idea at first.

But then I was thinking, this week's already hard enough for Carly since she has to write all my posts while I'm on vacation.

But then it dawned on me…  Wait, she's not writing ALL of my posts.  Here I am, still stuck doing the Fan Favorites!  What the hell!?

Well thank you for noticing, Steven 'Voodoo' Powell.  I am upset.

So before we get to Daniel's video, let me tell you what I hate about Fan Favorites…

• I hate that I'm forced to write these posts
• I hate comments that don't even bother suggesting a video
• I hate how every week someone suggests the Kid Car Breakdown
• I hate Carly.  She has never once offered to write this post for me.
• I hate people who call me "Daniel" in the comments.  Do I look like Daniel?
• I hate that alcohol has so damaged my memory that every week I have to look at all the previous weeks' Fan Favorites to make sure I'm not repeating myself
• I hate how Steven 'Voodoo' Powell is the only person to recognize my cries for help
• I hate that these posts are never funny
• I hate that probably none of you give a shit what I hate

There.  I don't feel any better.  I hate that.

Last week, Alec Serfozo said it was his "miserable life goal" to be on the Tosh.0 blog.

Not wanting to keep people from their life goals, I made you an offer:

"If your miserable life goal is to appear on the blog, just let me know in the comments this week, and I'll include a list of people with miserable life goals in next week's Fan Favorites."

Sadly, Fan Favorites received its second most comments ever — 125 — with half of you saying your life goal was to appear on the Tosh.0 blog.

Are you serious??  Your "life goal."  Cancer is still yet to be cured!  Children across the globe are starving!  At the very least there are sexy babes out there worthy of boning…

Yes, I could put all of you in the Fan Favorites, but Fan Favorites isn't even one of our better posts.  It isn't even written by the better blogger!  Didn't anyone ever encourage you to dream big??

Only one of you had the self-respect to say you didn't need the Tosh.0 blog to validate your existence and turned down my offer: Wayne Yeoman.

So congratulations, Wayne.  I'm putting you on the Tosh.0 blog as an example of maintaining dignity.  I foresee great things for you.  President of the United States maybe!

As punishment for the rest of you, I'm once again showing you the Asians Doing Christopher Walken Impressions video.  If that doesn't motivate you to improve your lives, I don't know what will.

Hey, Alec.  Sorry it took us so long to get to you.

A couple things…

First, there are a couple common reasons why certain suggestions don't get used.  One, we try not to repeat Fan Favorites.  Especially, the Kid Car Breakdown.  And two, not every clip from the show makes it to our website.  So some clips simply aren't available for us to use.  We're sorry about that, but it's the reality of our situation.  (The reality that we are lazy and aren't going back to cut new clips for you.)

Luckily, the Asians Doing Christopher Walken Impressions video is available and hasn't been used, so I am fulfilling your request.

Second, having said all that, it makes me upset to think that I'm keeping some of you from achieving your life goal.

So, if you've read this far, which I know most of you haven't, I'll make you a deal: If your miserable life goal is to appear on the blog, just let me know in the comments this week, and I'll include a list of people with miserable life goals in next week's Fan Favorites.

And then I'll just show whatever video.  Probably the Asian Christopher Walken Mash-Up again in honor of Alec who is making all of your miserable life goals come true.

Yes, Independence Day has passed, but watching people screw up our national anthem is timeless.  This bit is still as much of a halfhearted time-filler today as it was two years ago when we aired it!

How did she remember such an old clip?

It's almost as if Comedy Central is constantly rerunning all the old episodes of Tosh.0 all the time because they know we are the best show on the network.
