Last week, I wrote a post entitled "What's Hot: NASA Animations!" — a sarcastic reaction to my surprise at how popular the video "Animation of a GIANT impact" was on YouTube.

Well, I'm gonna let you in on a little behind-the-scenes secret from the Tosh.0 blog.  That post was one of our most popular for the week.  Obviously.

Obviously, I mock the popularity of something and that, in itself, becomes popular.

In that post, blogger Mike Pomranz wrote:

"Apparently, the pot-smoking amateur-astronomer market is a niche I had previous failed to recognize…."

I'm not going to make that mistake again.  Fool me once, shame on me.  Fool me twice, time to start making some changes.  I'm hip to it.  I'll start pandering to all you bong-toting science-smokers.

A couple weeks ago, I talked about blogs with simple themes showing pictures with little to no commentary.  We had Awkward Family Photos and Happiest People Ever, etc., etc., etc.

Well, here's a new one aimed at all you pot smokers out there: What-A-Bong.

The site describes itself as "Pictures of bongs that when you look at them, you'll say, 'What a bong!'"  Wow, that doesn't sound like something you'd come up with when you're high at all.

Basically, it's a collection of glamour shots of bizarre or interesting bongs.  The above Trekkie looking bong hit Gizmodo yesterday.  Apparently "bongs" now qualify as "gadgets."  And are news worthy.  I guess it depends on how you use them?
