HOLY SH*T YOU GUYS IT'S ICED TEA BEER

Posted by: Carly Hallam | March 9, 2012 at 3:00PM

Looks like we're all going to have to take a trip to Canada because Coors is unveiling a new iced-tea flavored beer there next month.

"Coors Light is the world's most refreshing beer," Coors CEO Peter Swinburn said. "Iced tea is the world's most refreshing non-alcoholic drink."

Both somewhat accurate statements. It only makes sense to combine them into one extremely refreshing beverage!

You'll never be thirsty again! Either because you're so damn refreshed or because your mouth no longer trusts what you're putting in it.

5 Reasons I Love The 'Machine Gun Preacher' Poster

Posted by: Carly Hallam | August 19, 2011 at 3:00PM

5. The title. OBVIOUSLY THE TITLE.

4. The stock photo African orphan. Can he save them? Will he save them? Hopefully he has 10 cents a day.

3. The fact that it stars Gerard Butler. Here are the last three movies I saw starring Gerard Butler:

Case closed.

2. The title. Did I already say that? It's just such a great title.

1. The tagline. It's a bummer that "IT'S A JOB. IT ISN'T PERSONAL. WELL, MAYBE A LITTLE…" was taken. But "HOPE IS THE GREATEST WEAPON OF ALL" will certainly do.

Completely Appropriate Movie Poster of the Day

This is the poster for Mel Gibson's new movie The Beaver. Reportedly, the film's release date has been postponed multiple times.

The poster looks good. It could use a tagline.

I'd go with something like: Mel Gibson will address your beaver. All he asks is that you do the same.

May as well tie in the rant and sell a few more movie tickets.

Great Things Come In Bears

Posted by: Carly Hallam | August 6, 2010 at 10:00AM

Movies love to use word play on their posters. But sometimes the pun doesn't come off quite as intended.

I see what they were going for with this one, but I think a more straightforward tagline would have worked better.

I would have liked to see "This is a bear's o-face". Or even something as simple as "Coming Soon. Get It?"

There's no need to beat around the Yogi Bear bush.
