Tom is Dead
I know I've written about Myspace more times in the last week than I've logged in in the past year, but this is big…
TechCrunch is reporting that Tom — Myspace's founder and the perennial first friend for every new Myspace member — has finally given up on Myspace himself. Well, either "given up" or been forced out as part of a corporate shake-up (which is what got me off of Myspace, damn corporate shake-ups!)
He hasn't logged in since January 24th and hasn't updated his status since Christmas.
What is he doing with all this free time? Oh, you know… Looking for a new job, swimming in a pile of money, stalking only the hottest women on Myspace (he's friends with everyone so no profile is private!).
Oh, and slowly trying to unfriend 273 million people. It's a pain, but it's the only way they'll let him cancel his account.
