Can you tell that instead of doing work I'm streaming World Cup soccer and then desperately attempting to throw up some random images at the last minute?

Well here's the deal: I'm going to keep posting vuvuzela stuff until the United States is eliminated from World Cup.  That's how I show my support of this country!

I don't vote; I'm not registered for jury duty; I don't pay taxes.  I feel obligated to at least do something…

She was only on national television for a few glorious seconds, but today, the Boise State University Cowbell Girl is the Internet's darling.

First, people questioned her enthusiasm, as she grimaced her way through whatever song it is they're playing.  (Is that the Super Mario Bros. theme??)

Then, information came out that she is blind as revealed by a number of sources, which added a new level of compassion to the story, spawning many to say that we are all going to hell.

So she probably didn't realize the world was watching.  We crashed this girl's private moment of personal discontent.

But are we really going to hell?  Isn't there a moral here?  How every one of us is subject to the constantly prying eyes of the world at large in the global landscape of flash judgements and instant gratification?

Maybe sometimes we should put aside our desires to exploit people on the web.  Maybe sometimes we should step away from our computer and live life in the moment.

Sometimes we need less technology and MORE COWBELL!!
