When Colors Are Not What They Seem

This ain't no science blog.  People who repost images of Katy Perrywith snarky commentary usually aren't regarded as "learned."

However, this new optical illusion that has been making the rounds after going live on a Discover Magazine blogyesterday definitely falls into the "ways-science-kicks-ass" department.

How many colors do you see?  It appears that between the pink spiral there are alternating colored spirals of green and blue.  But these two colors are actually the same color!
