Paris Hilton Thought That Cocaine Was Gum

Posted by: Carly Hallam | August 31, 2010 at 1:00PM

According to People:

When a little white baggie fell out of the purse she was carrying,Paris Hilton had an explanation for Las Vegas police.

"She had not seen it but now thought it was gum,? said an officer's report.

Ah, yes. The ole I-thought-that-white-powder-in-a-clear-plastic-baggie-was-gum excuse.

I could see how that might work. They look EXACTLY the same. In fact, I just turned down a piece of gum the other day because I thought it was a line of coke.

Getting High on the Internet

Posted by: Mike Pomranz | July 16, 2010 at 11:00AM

The latest fear-mongering on the Internet is that the Internet can get you high.

Yeah, wishful thinking.

Supposedly, there are videos and MP3s that can be found online that use "binaural, or two-toned, technology to alter your brain waves and mental state." Using music to alter your mental state: Isn't that the point of listening to music? Why do you think Pink Floyd made Ummagumma?

But this music is different. Neurosurgeons Parents without college degrees claim that listening to these mind-altering sounds can be a "gateway drug," leading kids to want to try other illicit substances.

Ah… no. You know what makes kids want to try illegal drugs: When they see that Snoop Dogg has the kind of money to attempt to rent entire countries. That's the kind of music we should be worried about. When I was a kid, we didn't need "binaural" MP3s as a gateway drug; we had Cypress Hill's Black Sunday. I wanna get high, so high, indeed.

As a parent, you should hope your kids are wasting 10 minutes at a time listening to "Gate of Hades." That's 10 minutes less time they are spending over at the house of their cooler friend who can actually score weed.

Free Drugs: A Jeremy London Follow-Up

Posted by: Mike Pomranz | June 24, 2010 at 4:00PM

People who know me know I love two things: free drugs and following-up on stories I have previously written about. I really hate not knowing how things end. And I also hate paying for all of my drugs.

Well, as the details unravel, some small holes exist in last week's story that actor Jeremy London was kidnapped and forced to smoke free drugs at gunpoint.

Really?? 'Cause that story seemed airtight.

But, alas, turns out the innocent until-proven-guilt man Mr. London decided to have shipped off to jail doesn't corroborate Jeremy's story.

According to an interview with RadarOnline, the suspect who supposedly kidnapped Mr. London has a different tale to tell, including such shockers as:

"As soon as we got in the car, Jeremy asked us if we could get him five xanax and five oxycontin. … I told him I could hook him up but that I wanted a couple of beers. He agreed."

And:

"Jeremy wanted to drink, so we bought beer and some hard alcohol and we got f****d up. … We went driving around my neighborhood, handing out beer to my friends and random people on the street. We were having a good time."

Oh, and of course:

"I was finally able to get [Jeremy] three ecstasy and three xanax pills. He took all six pills at once. He was out of his mind high."

None of this sounds like something someone from Hollywood would do. No. The "forced-to-do-free-drugs-at-gunpoint" story seems far more logical!

But you can't blame, Jeremy. He used to be is an actor. Actors have no idea how to come up with a good story. That's why Hollywood pays millions of dollars to writers to tell all these stupid actors what to do.

Next time, Jeremy, take the number one acting lesson to heart: Pay someone else to come up with your story for you.

Everyone's Worst Nightmare: Free Drugs

Posted by: Mike Pomranz | June 17, 2010 at 4:00PM

The Huffington Post reports that actor Jeremy London was kidnapped last Thursday night and forced at gunpoint to smoke illegal drugs.

As anyone who's ever been forced at gunpoint to smoke drugs knows (and, honestly, who hasn't been there), this experience can be one of the most traumatic, horrifying and totally awesome things to ever happen to you in your life.

But now, London has to be careful. Next thing he knows he could be wandering the streets, late at night, trying to look lost, just hoping — praying — that someone, anyone, will kidnap him and force him at gunpoint to smoke more, highly-addictive and exhilarating free drugs.

That's right: He's in danger of becoming the worst kind of drug-addict… a free-drug-addict.

Drugs Change You

Posted by: Mike Pomranz | May 24, 2010 at 11:00AM

So, you think you can just play around with powerful psychoactive, psychedelic and illegal drugs like LSD and everything will be fine?

"I have a strong ego and a sharp mind. I can take it," you blather.

Well let this be a lesson to you: Drugs change you.

They change you into a long-winded, self-centered hippie douche who can't even let your buddy bask in the glory of scoring some tail.

We get it, dude: You're annoying.
