Last night on Fallon, Obama stopped by slow jam the news, proving that he is pretty damn cool.
Though not quite as black as Brian Williams.

Early last week, Jimmy Fallon promised that if viewers donated over $26,000 to DonorsChoose.org, he would have Comedy Central's own Stephen Colbert perform Rebecca Black's "Friday" on his show.
Fans ponied up the dough, and on Friday night, Colbert delivered on Fallon's promise to sing the viral classic with help from The Roots and Taylor Hicks — presumably because Hicks is one of the fewer singers as boring as Rebecca Black.
My favorite part is when The Roots' Black Thought tries to make sense out of the nonsensical rhymes of Patrice Wilson. You can't comprehend just how bad the "Friday" rap break is until you've heard a real rapper try to cover it.
Despite the ridiculousness of it all, I'm glad to see "Friday" being used to send money to a charity instead of into the pockets of Ark Music Factory.
In fact, this whole thing has inspired me. DonorsChoose.org is still accepting donations. If any of you choose to give, I'll have Carly Hallam sing "Chocolate Rain" at your house!
Alright, it's come to my attention that Carly has told me to "go [have sex with] yourself." So she will not sing "Chocolate Rain" at your house. Apparently, Carly hates helping those in need.

When you saw the commercial for Mr. Spriggs BBQ you probably thought it couldn't get any better. You probably thought it was the best locally produced commercial you'd ever laid eyes on. (Not including this, obviously.) And you would have been mostly right.
But there is nothing in this world that John C. Reilly can't improve, Mr. Spriggs included!
So here it is. The Mr. Spriggs BBQ theme song performed by John C. Reilly and the Roots. Your Monday just got a little more DEEELICIOUS!

Had the Internet been in full swing back when Horatio Sanz and Jimmy Fallon originally performed their silly Christmas ditty "I Wish It Was Christmas Today" on Saturday Night Live (with prominent onlookers Chris Kattan and Tracy Morgan), the song would probably already be a holiday mainstay.
But alas, it wasn't until last night's performance of the song on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon that the tune had its second coming. (Kind of like Jesus, oddly enough!)
Fallon and Sanz got things started in its traditional arrangement before The Strokes' frontman Julian Casablancas launched into a full rock version backed by Fallon house band, The Roots.
Casablancas had the foresight to record a beefed up version of the song and release it as a single back in November. You can buy the song on iTunes or get the song as a bonus track for buying his solo debut album.
With all the press the performance has gotten, I think we can safely change Julian's last name to Cash-in-blancas.
And don't forget Fallon and Sanz who, as the song's writers, will be receiving royalties.
Looks like those three have given themselves a nice little Christmas present. And all they had to do was rehash a song they wrote a decade ago.
Marry Christmas! May the rich and famous get rich and famous-er!

This video of Mark-Paul Gosselaar appearing on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last night as his "Zack Morris" character from Saved By The Bell is attracting a lot of attention.
Probably because it's making people wistful for the days when Jimmy Fallon was actually funny too.
Well, maybe this bit is a good sign. Even Conan was a bit stiff for the first, oh, couple years or so. And look at him now! He gets to be stiff as host of the Tonight Show!
