Over the weekend, as you've probably heard, there was a bomb scare in Times Square, forcing an evacuation of one of the busiest blocks in the world.

The web has been spreading the above picture of the completely empty square — definitely a rare sight.

I don't necessarily want to make light of a potentially deadly situation, but you have to wonder where all the tourists went while Times Square was shut down.  Rockefeller Center must have been a total clusterfuck.  And every McDonald's and Starbucks in Manhattan must have been filled to capacity.

No one was hurt, but some waiters at the Times Square location of T.G.I. Friday's were really pissed off.  That's, like, their busiest time.
