I'm writing a rebuttal video. It's called "Seriously Though, You Should Change."

Ever get the feeling some kids would benefit from a light beating?

Don't get between me and my tube tops, kid.

"1st of tha Month" hit the Billboard charts all the way back in 1995.
Why the hell it took someone 17 years to figure out they could remake the video with pugs and call it Bone Pugz-N-Harmony is beyond me, but SOME THINGS ARE WORTH WAITING FOR.

When I was a kid, it was all about fitted caps. Now kids want to wear hats with adjustable backs??
But I also think talking about stuff like drugs and acting like a thug makes sense, so what do I know.

Back in 1991, a little group called Nirvana shot to the top of the charts. Suddenly, everyone wanted a band. I had a band; if you're around my age, you probably had a band. Every kid was in a band.
And it was great. It reminded the world that music wasn't just for some elitist group of songwriters hidden in a Manhattan recording studio. Music was for everyone.
Twenty years later, in 2011, Rebecca Black had a viral hit with a music video about Fridays. Now everyone wants a music video.
The one above is from that girl in pink who was riding next to Rebecca Black in the nighttime driving scene in Friday. Yes, she now has her own music video.
And it's great. It reminds us that music videos aren't just for crazy women who like to dress like Italian men or wear giant cheese cubes on their head. Music videos are for everyone.
So if you want to make a music video, go. Go do it. Don't wait another second. Everyone should have their own ridiculously flashy pop music video with amazing production values and bright lights and big choruses. Make your music video and make it now. I can't wait to see it. I'll be here waiting.
As soon as it's done, send me a link. I'll blog about it. And you'll be famous. I swear.
