"Once you reach max level… you buy an expansion pack… then you reach max level again… then you stop leveling."
"Once you reach max level…you stop leveling."
Today, this image (right) of Sean Connery exploded on Digg. The accompanying title is crucial to the joke.
To a non-gamer, this might take a second to understand. Video games like World of Warcraft have a maximum level that characters can reach — once they're there, they can't get any better. They're "the best" the game can allow. Now, hopefully, the image to the right makes sense.
Well, considering that Sean Connery clearly has two distinct stages of his career, and considering the one caveat in video game leveling, I created the more accurate version at the top: "Once you reach max level… you buy an expansion pack… then you reach max level again… then you stop leveling."
Any gamer will get what I mean and enjoy a laugh. Anyone else will read this description without laughing and feel that their time was wasted even more than if they actually played video games.
