While Being Arrested Seems as Good a Time as Any to Sing Some Queen

"Yes, sir, this is the real life.  And we are currently filming a video confirmation of that fact."

Little Kid Likes Freddie Mercury

Posted by: Mike Pomranz | August 15, 2011 at 10:00AM

That was easy as shit.  Let's see if this kid can handle Freddie's part in "Under Pressure."  That's the karaoke killer.

Silly President, Toasts Are For Kings!

Posted by: Carly Hallam | May 25, 2011 at 3:00PM

Haha. Silly President. Look at him speaking over the national anthem. And touching his glass before the Queen. What a doofus. We all knew not to do that.

It's like, learn your manners, you crazy American!

What is this, a luau? I don't think so! This is England. You don't just say nice words about a woman in front of a crowd whenever you want!

You can take the guy out of Hawaii but you can't take the Hawaii out of the guy.

How Much Would You Pay For The Queen's Panties?

Posted by: Carly Hallam | December 6, 2010 at 1:00PM

In what can only be described as TMZ's finest reporting hour, they've brought news that Queen Elizabeth II's panties are up for sale.

Whadaya got for me?

Some weirdo has kept the Queen's underwear for 40 years and now they're being auctioned off.

Great. Get a pic. Lay them out on that crunchy paper they use at doctor's offices.

The estate is looking to get $9,000 for the royal skivvies. Oh, fame.

We commoners can only hope that one day we'll be important enough to sell our used underwear.

Two Frogs, No Cuts

Posted by: Mike Pomranz | October 4, 2010 at 12:00PM

I don't know what the implications of this are supposed to be…  Is that guy really homeless?  Is this just a public service announcement using an actor?  Why are Freddie Mercury and David Bowie both Kermit??

Still, I doubt you'll ever find a better video rendition of two Kermit the Frogs lip-dubbing the song "Under Pressure" by Queen and David Bowie all shot in one take.  I mean, now that Jim Henson is dead.

SouljaSmith by Microsoft

Posted by: Chris Lesinski | September 30, 2009 at 1:00PM

Money can't buy happiness

Earlier in the year, Microsoft came out with a program called SongSmithwhich automatically adds background music to human singing. So, a solo singer in the elementary school play needn?t have the lame-o accompaniment of the music teacher on a piano anymore. Computers can automate that menial task with MIDI sounds instead! A stable version of the software came out this month.

Screw auto-tuning your voice ? just auto-tune the music in the background to match whatever horrible pitch you happen to spew out. I can?t wait till the day I see text at the beginning of a music video that credits Microsoft as a producer.

I was recently turned on to SongSmith because it made this Soulja Boy song tolerable. Another truly staggering application ?- SongSmith can take great music and make it even better. Check out a few more mash-ups after the jump.
