Every week we see countless comments that have absolutely nothing to do with anything. Our favorite irrelevant comment this week came from Stage Five Clinger in response to a post about a cookie.

Come on, Clinger! This blog is no place for self promotion. If it were, don't you think I would have already asked everyone to follow me on Twitter? Obviously I would have. But my job is to post and your job is to make relevant comments about that post.

Yesterday, soon-to-be-forgotten exploitation artist Katy Perry posted the above photo on her Twitpic account with the caption "I have no self control."

Yes, we know, Katy.  You have no self control over how shamelessly you will do anything to promote yourself.  Or maybe she meant, "I have no control over myself" as I'm sure a cadre of managers and publicists meticulously plotted over the exact framing and release details of this "impromptu" pic.

I haven't found it yet, but I'm pretty sure about 13 days ago Jill Sobule posted a similar pic of herself eating a pizza in a bathtub, but it was a different bathtub, with different water, and the pizza had totally different toppings and this new pizza was in no way inspired by the success of the other pizza shop.
