Sioux City Officially Ruins the Internet
A lot of parties out there have tried their damnedest to ruin the Internet for everyone. Well, it's finally happened: The Internet has reached rock bottom.
I always knew it wouldn't go out with a tweet or a blog post, but with a lip dub.
Lip dubs are the lowest form of human entertainment. Like cock fighting, jai alai or Seattle Mariners games.
Though lip dubs have continued to get worse and worse, nearly bottoming out when the supposedly reputable staff of National Public Radio succumbed to the "phenomenon" last week with their Lady Gaga "spoof" (lip dubs aren't spoofs, geniuses — go back to Dartmouth), it's Sioux City, Iowa that has officially ended all that is good about the Internet with their "We Built This City" lip dub above.
Iowa is a terrible place. If you don't believe me take a second to think, Is my life terrible? If the answer is "yes," take a look around. There's a good chance you are in Iowa.
Like your dad trying to be cool by rapping, this Sioux City vid officially proves that the Internet is past it's prime. The new craze is mainlining table salt while hanging upside-down in a black lit closet and listening to The Trammps. Go do that.
Oh, and make sure to skip ahead to the very end where they decided the best way to end things is with Bret Michaels giving praise to their fair city.
Or should I say "fair at best" city.
