What Happens Next?

Posted by: Mike Pomranz | January 11, 2010 at 11:00AM

When you first start the video above, you see a room with a giant "X" in front of it.

But guess what happens next?

You suddenly realize this guy has way, way too much time on his hands.

An Ode To Screen Grabs

Posted by: Joselyn Hughes | November 3, 2009 at 2:00PM

grab

Classic screen grab hilarity!

And now, my love for screen grabs expressed in the form of poetry*.

AN ODE TO SCREEN GRABS

Screen grabs, oh screen grabs, I must admit
You make me chuckle and that's legit
As I comb through the internet, day by day
You're a guaranteed laugh; a sure fire way.

You catch people's missteps
One click at a time,
Without any reason, without any rhyme.
It's sometimes an image, sometimes some words,
Screen grabs will show you the dumb and absurd.

Screen grabs, I love you.
Marry me.

*DISCLAIMER: This post is admittedly lame.
But I have lost my mind, and if one of you sends us the WoW freakout video ONE MORE TIME I will ONLY POST INTERNET POETRY!

You have been warned!

Time's 50 Best Websites of 2009

time-best-websites

Earlier this week, TIME (those guys who print that hopelessly out-dated thing known as a "TIME Magazine") released their list of the "50 Best Websites of 2009."

Unfortunately, the Tosh.0 Blog didn't make the list.  Very unfortunately.  Sure, we can take it, but we can also dish it.

So though we're not good enough for TIME's list of the best websites, here's some lists we think TIME.com belongs on:

  • 50 Best Websites Based on Magazines No One Reads Anymore
  • Top 50 Websites I've Never Considered Visiting Even Once In My Life
  • 50 Websites That Use So Much Red It Makes Me Want To Vomit
  • The 50 Best Websites According to My Grandpa
  • 50 Websites I'd Expect to See in "The Dentist's Office of the Future"
  • 50 Websites You Can Print Out To Pick Up Dog Poop With
  • Top 50 Websites That Can Never Really Hope to Be Relevant

Revenge is always sweeter in list form.

Jon Stewart is America's Most Trusted Newscaster

Posted by: Mike Pomranz | July 22, 2009 at 5:00PM

timepoll

According to the above online TIME poll (the most official of all online polls), Comedy Central's own Jon Stewart is America's Most Trusted Newscaster.

Therefore, by the transitive property, America's most trusted guy who knows funny stuff about the Internet is Daniel Tosh.  Congrats to us!

But I don't know how official these online polls are.  I'm pretty sure ESPN has been using them for years to determine who Americans think is the top prospect in the upcoming NHL Amateur Hockey Draft.

Scott Glennie, my ass!!

Timedrain Visually Depicts Time Accurately

Posted by: Chris Lesinski | July 16, 2009 at 7:57PM

Time is relatively optimistic, right? The seconds and minutes on a clock increase, as though our lives are thriving and expanding.

Well, I like to believe that although we are alive right now, with each day, we are gradually dying. If you agree, you'll enjoy the "half-empty" clock: timedrain. As the moments pass, the numbers display like the upperhalf of an hourglass — a constant reminder of how much you're wasting away your existence.
