Back in July, someone tweeted that "Tosh.0 is in the New York Times Crossword today."  At the time, I did a little (very little) research, and couldn't track the puzzle down.

But this past weekend, another diligent NY Times reader pointed me towards Sunday's crossword.

The clue for 100 across: Comedy Central's "___.0"

It's good to see puzzle constructor Joel Fagliano is such a big fan of the show!  Because he certainly doesn't have a giant stack of unfinished crossword puzzles where he's like, "Why the fuck isn't TOSH a word!!?!"

I hate to break it to you, Theresa, but yes, you are wrong to have a crush on Peter Tosh.

Tosh.0 is hosted by Daniel Tosh.  Peter Tosh was a Jamaican reggae musician who played in The Wailers and was sadly killed in 1987.

Or maybe those were just two completely different thoughts.  I have a crush on Peter Tosh, oh, and, also, coincidentally, the show Tosh.0, which has a somewhat similar name, which is why I am thinking of it, makes me laugh so hard.

In which case you have a crush on a dead man.  Which is, unfortunately, still very, very wrong.

DT: That's a good question….  I'll tell you who I loved.  The "What, What, In The Butt" guy.  Couldn't have been more of a delight.  That kinda sounds bad, but he really was nice and I had a good time hanging out with him.

Yes, Daniel unofficially broke the news a couple weeks ago on Twitter, but now it's official: Tosh.0 is coming back for a 2nd season on January 13th, 2010.

But not only that, 2010 is practically the year of Tosh as Comedy Central  announced earlier today that "the network has signed Tosh to shoot an original one-hour stand-up special to be subsequently released with extended material on DVD and CD and a national stand-up tour."

Holy crap!  Is that enough Tosh for you?

Clearly, 20Tosh is going to be one of the Toshiest years ever here at Toshedy Toshtral.

"Daniel is extremely talented, incredibly funny and a perfect fit for our audience," said [Comedy Central President Michele] Ganeless. "We’re excited about the new season of 'Tosh.0' and look forward to showcasing him on all these platforms."
