Dude, what happened to the power?
I don't know.
This sucks! I was watching an episode of Tosh.0 and all of a sudden the power cut out!
You could go check out the Tosh.0 blog on your laptop. That runs on battery power.
Tosh.0 blog?!? Give me a break, I'm not that desperate!
The above video has been amazingly popular on Break the past 24 hours.
A group of people (they sound on the young side) watch on, filming as a giant tree catches fire (eventually causing an explosion) after it repeatedly blows up against nearby power lines.
What's almost more interesting than the video itself, though, is the strange mixture of awe, laughter and cavalier attitude that can be overheard from these people on the audio track.
Why aren't these people doing anything to prevent this catastrophe? Where is the fire department? Where are the police? Do we really just have time to sit around and capture video? Is that really the best idea??
Can you imagine this same group of people on the Titanic?
"Oh my god!" someone blurts out, followed by laughter. "Look at all that water! We're totally sinking! How long have we been sinking for?"
"I've been video taping for a little over a minute and a half," the camera man replies. "This is amazing. We are totally going to end up in the water pretty soon."
"I told you," says another. "This is the thing I was kind of concerned about: All of us sinking to our inevitable deaths."
"Oh my gosh! This is better than the 4th of July."
Around the 4:30 mark someone screams, "Where is the fire department?"
I don't know. Have you thought about calling them?!?
